Senior Quality Engineer,
October 2014 - September 2016
Senior Power-Train Quality Engineer for the development and delivery into series production of the Aston Martin DB11 - the first model launched in AML's 'second century' plan and the first car launched since the tie-up with Daimler AG.
Worked with the Aston Martin design team along with the in-house manufacturing team and managed 25 external 1st tier suppliers across Europe and the U.S.A. Supported the development, manufacture and build “right-first-time” of all powertrain components on all production new-build models, including DB11 and the new Vantage. This involved regular travel overseas and around the UK to choose new suppliers, monitor and assist existing suppliers and solve problems which had stopped build at the Aston Martin facility.
Tasked with reporting the quality status of all powertrain components at major programme gateways to senior management. Drove systematic problem solving, root cause analysis & fix verification for issues found during concept, design, prototype build, testing and launch of new products. The job also involved a significant amount of vehicle testing, for which I was trained on road and track.
