Started working with Carnival UK as a 3rd Engineer immediately after completing their cadetship program
High voltage experience, large oil fired steam boilers and marine gas turbines
Experience with a variety of purifiers, sewage treatment plants, vacuum toilet systems, cooling water, fresh water production, bilge and ballast water treatment systems and incinerators
Health & Safety management experience, including the correct use of permits to work, risk assessments and COSWP
Significant practical training in fire fighting, lifeboat launching/recovery and crowd management. The role also involved a lot of customer-facing contact, including formal evening functions and shore excursions, helping to develop networking and conversation skills with guests.
