  • MS Azura (4 x Wärtsilä 12V46C, 2 x 8L46C, 67.2MW, Siemens shaft drive)

  • MV Oriana (2 × MAN-B&W 9L58/64, 2 x MAN-B&W 6L58/64, 47.75MW)

  • RMS Queen Mary 2 (4 × Wärtsilä 16V46C-CR, 2 x General Electric LM2500, 117.32MW, 4 x Rolls-Royce/Alstom Mermaid propulsion units)

  • Started working with Carnival UK as a 3rd Engineer immediately after completing their cadetship program

  • High voltage experience, large oil fired steam boilers and marine gas turbines

  • Experience with a variety of purifiers, sewage treatment plants, vacuum toilet systems, cooling water, fresh water production, bilge and ballast water treatment systems and incinerators

  • Health & Safety management experience, including the correct use of permits to work, risk assessments and COSWP

  • Significant practical training in fire fighting, lifeboat launching/recovery and crowd management. The role also involved a lot of customer-facing contact, including formal evening functions and shore excursions, helping to develop networking and conversation skills with guests.
