Supervising a 2nd Engineer, ETO, AVIT, two Mechanical Fitters and two Wipers. Responsible for determining, planning and executing all routine and non-routine maintenance for the ship and 8 tenders.
Responsible for the IDEA planned maintenance system for the Engine department, requisitioning and placing technical orders and acting as the Technical Store Keeper, controlling inventory and acting within the budget set by the Chief Engineer.
Project Engineer,

Tasked with defining the scope of work to meet targets for Special Survey, repair and upgrades of ship services including a full re-power of the ship. Focused on safety and the enjoyment of the Principal. Acting as the Superintendent for Deck, Technical and Interior on behalf of the Owner's Representative in the build up to and for the duration of the refit, including choice of yard.
Conducted power and feasibility studies resulting in the replacement of all auxiliary diesel generator sets (replacing 3 x 880kW Deutz TBD620 sets with 3 x 665kW MAN Type D 2862 LE 321, including securing a Tier III exemption from Flag).
Replacement of the domestic fresh water system, cathodic protection system, marine growth protection system (all Cathelco/HEM systems).
Co-ordinated the re-design of the sewage treatment plant (ACT2 system) to improve performance and converted the ballast system into a closed-loop heeling system as an alternative to fitting a ballast water treatment plant. Creation of the initial drafts of drawings for all projects.
Development of the paint scope for underwater areas and topsides, bringing together the paint manufacturer, applicator, shipyard and paint consultancy to achieve the desired outcome for the Principal.
Clear and open communication with the Principal's team, Flag, Class, Ship Yard, Sub-Contractors, Naval Architect and ship's crew to create a team dynamic and bring about the best possible outcome for all parties.
2nd Engineer,

Operation of all ship's systems, carrying out underwater surveys and acting as Deck/Engineer on large tenders during activities with the Principal requiring crew with front-of-house experience.
Servicing of six tenders over 5 meters and two tenders over 20 meters
